The ‘compelling closing argument’ Harris is making to battleground state voters: conservative
AlterNet’s Maya Boddie covered Principles First founder Heath Mayo:
Conservative grassroots group leader Heath Mayo joined MSNBC’s The Weekend Sunday morning to discuss whether of not Harris’ strategy of hitting Trump over his unfitness for office during her visits to battleground states is helpful to the Democratic nominee’s campaign.
Co-host Michael Steele asked Mayo, “How do you assess the effort at this point, and what else do you think the campaign could be doing particularly given there’s softness out there among certain groups of voters she is going to need in November?”
The Principles First founder replied, “I think she is doing everything she needs to be doing in the home stretch. She needs to be out on the road making the case to voters. She was in Arizona at the Republicans for Harris event. She’s reaching to the middle of the road voters, voters who maybe historically voted suburban. The voters who maybe voted for Nikki Haley, who she’s going to need in the swing states.”
